Artificial plants are affordable, low maintenance and easy to clean whilst still providing the security for fish and invertebrates to hide amongst, it will grow the same biofilm as other aquarium items enabling a food source for shrimp, fry and grazers to eat. Artificial plants will not rot, decay or die unlike real plants, no need to fertilise or trim.
