Mopani wood is ideal to use in freshwater aquariums, each piece is 100% natural and therefore 100% unique. It provides a natural looking décor into your tank, provides ample hiding places for fish, a food source for grazing herbivores/omnivores such as pleco’s and is one of the most durable hardwood’s available.
All our mounted wood is sandblasted, thoroughly cleaned and pre-soaked to remove the majority of tannins and to ensure the pieces do not float. The slate bottom is 100% natural slate mounted using 2 x stainless steel bolts to avoid rusting - the hardware will not have any reaction to water affecting quality, clarity or levels such as PH/KH.
