White Wizard Snail / Filopaludina martensi
The white wizard snail is a relatively new species of freshwater snail, they are large (up to 5CM’s) growing and prefer warmer water.
These snails prefer to live in fresh still waters (canals, swamps, ponds, rice fields, ditches, etc.). However, they can also be found in waters with slow currents as well (streams, and rivers).
These snails can live for 3-5 years in captivity.
Snail pellets, algae wafers, catfish pellets and frozen foods are all good food sources for this omnivore however, supplemental calcium may be needed for shell growth and strengthening.
Water Parameters:
Temperature: 23 - 26 Celsius
PH: 7.0 - 8.5
Carbonate Hardness: 5 - 20 DKH
General Hardness: 4 - 12 GDH
