The Slender Blockhead Cichlid is a one of a kind, unique fish from the Cichlid family.
They can be extremely territorial however, are best kept in pairs in large aquariums. They should not be housed with any other Cichlid unless the aquarium is very large, 350L+.
They require plenty of rock formations and caves which are recommended to glue together as these fish tend to burrow. Once paired, these fish will be paired for life, if one dies, then often times the other secludes itself to a life of sexual unfulfilment.
We currently have 1 male and 1 female in stock, ideal as a pair as they have started bonding.

PH: 6.0 - 7.5 PH
Carbonate Hardness: 3 - 8 DKH
General Hardness: 2 - 15 GDH
