The Spotted Talking cat is a long-lived, nocturnal dwelling catfish. Unmistakable markings make this fish stand out in any aquarium. They are generally peaceful however, can be territorial so it is best to maintain them singly in well-furnished aquariums.
They originate from Brazil and Peru, often found in slow moving lakes, rivers and streams, as a result they prefer gentle filtration and must be provided with decorations they can hide amongst and under, like drift wood, river worn rocks etc. A dark substrate is preferred however, whatever substrate is used must be soft to protect their delicate barbells and bellies.
Water Parameters:
Temperature: 22 - 26 Celsius
PH: 5.5 - 7.5 PH
Carbonate Hardness: 2 - 20 DKH
General Hardness: 4 - 20 GDH
