Easy-Life Nitro provides extra nitrate (NO3) in planted aquariums where there is few or no fish. Despite nitrate being one of the main foods for algae, a small amount is still required for plants to grow.
Plants normally get this from decaying fish waste but in modern aquascapes there is often very few fish so some extra nitrate may need adding.
