The noble Cherry Barb, originating from the dense rivers of Sri Lanka, a small schooling fish that should be kept in groups of at least 6. Farm bred Barb’s are much more adaptable to water temperatures, hardness and acidity. Ideal tankmates include other similar sized fish such as Guppy’s, Platy’s etc. Larger group sizes will ensure no nipping will happen and will provide additional security for fish leading to higher activity levels displaying cliché schooling fish mannerisms.

Current stock size is around 2CM’s but will grow to around 5CM’s in length.

  • Temperature: 22 - 27 Celsius

  • PH: 6.0 - 8.0 PH

  • Carbonate Hardness: 3 - 15 DKH

  • General Hardness: 4 - 14 GDH
